Grahams first gig with us after departure of  Ged.A truly great
performance from him as he only found out he was in the band a week
before. Comedy well received not a bad gig in general. Not one of my
best but hey shit happens..forgot my amp so Connie brought it on a 2
hr drive for me.

The Drop Kick Bradford
A very successful gig for RM brought back our lights into play. Was
congratulated by a few of the audience on a great gig. They also told
us that there were twice as many punters as usual so that made us
feel good. Daz settling in to giving the crowd some attitude looks good!

Tonight gig had a great feel and was Grahams (bass) second gig he's
doing us proud. Hound Dog went in tonight for first time and went
down a storm. Everyone up for a laugh. Decided to move Graham
(drummer) back to centre stage and cut down legs height. Scanners
went up and worked great. A successful night for Helvis with more gigs
promised on better nights. Had to fix a ceiling tile drum riser displaced
it. Extra star for the lads effort tonight. After being told it would be crap.

6/3/09 Hatfield Main Doncaster
A Fantastic night with a great turnout. The committee even gave us
FREE drinks, and invited us to an after show lock in which we declined.
Graham enjoyed a few of the free drinks and then righted the worlds
problems as you do with a skinfull ha ha! We also had his riser at full
hight. 25 years after working at Hatfield Main it was the miners strike
anniversary almost to the day so i received applause for my
involvement in that.

The inaugural gig at this venue with new landlords. RMs complete
pleasure a good gig venue with the prospect of becoming great. All
The Lads played well and sounded great.

Great gig first one back as a depping guitarist with the Harry Coffey
Band. Lee played well had some fun.Bloke thought i was miming
because of radio pack then said if i was'nt i was phenomenal and of
course i was'nt phenomenal or miming....Fans of the band said it was
the best Voodoo Child they ever heard!

15/3/09 Little Un South Emsall
Setlled back into the role of solo guitarist and played a blinder. Connie
said it was the best he'd ever seen me, and hes seen me plenty. a
great night capped off with my Yngwie Malsteem trick of spinning guitar
around my neck worked brill first time but strapp broke away on the
second attempt and my Blade dropped to the floor with a bang...oops!

20/3/09 ROAB Club Scunthorpe
Excellent gig with a young Matt Wright depping for Carl. Good night
packed club appreciative audience very similar to Hatfield Main. The
band is getting better. Midget curtain failed and my dog suit dropped to
my ankles leaving everything below the waist showing throughout the
midget man routine difficult to complete routine wihile preserving
modesty. Graham thought it funny tho and kept me going....

Not a bad gig by any means the first of the venues rock nights. We got
the gig from Coz of Go Commando who pulled out the night before due
to a bad throat. About 30 punters in total nothing remarkable but debut
the new set list cool! we went down well! Good venue will get better.

4/4/09 Whitby RUFC
Awesome gig well worth the travel, great people, great place cant wait
to go back. Snapped a string so it must have been good. Went for fish
and chips in the harbour with the lads brought back many memories.
The lights were superb run by Carlos Wragtanas foot of rock....

Another very cool gig where we were told we are the best band they
had on at the venue. A great compliment  as ive seen the roster and
there was some good bands on it. A great night with some nice people
not a bad little busy pub!

26/4/09 The Bold Privateer Bradford
An interesting evening this was a band put together to cover another
bands gig, under the name of the Harry Coffey Band but i it call it a
scratch band, because id never met the drummer or the other guitar
player until 7.30pm that night and we were on at 9.30pm playing some
songs i have never played or rehearsed before same for the others i
think we coped with it and had some fun anyway. The new guys were
Stuart Lockwood on drums (Guns & Oatcakes,Gypsy) and Les
Johnson on guitar(Bare Essentials).

Very average gig nothing great  or spectacular just did the work and
came home Phils second gig was ok.

Norton WMC 2/5/09
Another average gig with the added problem of show magic playing up
on us which we recoverd barely! Bonus was we did balloon dance as
an encore which went well especially as Carl decided to join in. Very
funny especially the stage invasion which me and Pete kept at bay with
Kung Fu kicks.Crap gig tho

8/5/09 The Bold Privateer
Great gig with the suprise of an added bonus in the Guise of Michela
from Top Notch who joined us on Paranoid and Enter Sandman a
talented young lady. Different gig with a lady at the helm for us Mozzys.

9/5/09 Wheatley Wmc Doncaster
Not a great gig generally because we did our two 45 minute spots and
then were expected to go on for a third spot which we did in our plain
clothes and just played the music.

16/5/09 Chatteris Wmc Peterborough
Fantastic gig one of the best ever we were told we were the best band
to ever play the venue by a few including the DJ/entertainment
manager and commitee/bar staff. Have played it before as Space
Cadets and had a good time, but this was better as we were bulled up
as two ex cadets then told we were a better more entertaining band
than them excellent result.

17/5/09 The Fiddlers Cleethorpes

Craig Tara Ayr Scotland 22/5/09
Phils first ever visit to bonnie Scotland and what a visit was had. We
had a very successful evening billed as Crackers. Great reception from
crowd with autographs, photographs requested and memorabilia
sought from us. Overnight stay was interesting with no bedding or
toilet paper provided but that was the only real downer. We left
Scotland hoping we would get even half the reception when we arrived
in Scarborough.

Cayton Bay Scarborough 23/5/09
We were hoping for a good night and after only 4 hrs sleep from
drinking and talking about the night before we surpassed ourselves
found the necessary energy and performed spectacularily, The show
was brilliant with between 600/750 audience on the massive stage
which we owned from the get go, all of us enjoying the show. Grahams
friend and family came from Filey to watch and young Emma became
photographer for the night (see Helvishots). Probably the best show
yet for me and defo top 3 gig for others.

Rachels Resturant Derbyshire 24/5/09
Yesterday was no great gig but we did the job and the landlady and
lord loved what we did and said we were a definate rebooking. The
personal issues were daylight during performance which of course
took away a lot of the atmosphere. Also i lost my wireless pack. Started
out with little punters but as we got going they piled inside to see the
band around 150-200 crowd members. As i said no great gig but offers
from an audience member who books motorcycle events said he
wants to book us, as he thought we were great. Beetlejoos followed us
on but had to leave before they played.
